Kango Kennels was established in 1986 Breeding Basenjis.
I breed and showed Basenjis for 10 years, and fell in love with Griffons around 1993.
It wasn't until the end of 1995 that I secured my first Griffon.
Over the last 25 years that I have breed and showed Griffons, I have found the most enjoyable part of owning this adorable and very smart breed is that I am able to experience the individual characters of each one from the puppy stage, and as you would understand a great deal of pleasure derived from it.
Also in that time I have breed and showed some of my dogs to their Australian Champion title, with some notable wins along the way.
Memorable wins were the Best in Show at the Griffon Club of Victoria 2002 Annual Show and the Best Breeder of show and Most successful sire of the day at the 2010 Griffon Club of Victoria Championship Show.
Over the last 10 years I have introduced new blood with dogs I have imported from Europe, Ch Kosmas Konfident Step and Star Griff Regis Black Panther, these boys have blended well with my bloodlines helping to strengthen type, confirmation and some great heads.
I am also working in with a few other breeders around Australia combining our lines with their quality dogs as well, one of whom is the half sister to the 2016 Crufts best of breed winner (Imp Cze Rep).
Being able to introduce these dogs with my already very healthy lines adds new blood to compliment the strength of my breeding. . PLEASE NOTE. GRIFFON BRUXELLIOS IS THE BREED NAME USED IN AUSTRALIA - NOT BRUSSELS GRIFFON.
